What do you like most about working out at FIT RxN?
I love the intensity of the workouts and how all of the instructors are focused on making sure that you improve and continue to get stronger. I’m constantly getting pushed to what I think is my limit but in doing so I realize that I can push myself a little harder and a little further the next time.
Do you have specific fitness goals? Have they changed at all?
Before joining FIT RxN I did a lot of running and most of my workouts were very cardio heavy without a lot of variety. Once I started taking classes at FIT RxN I began to focus more on building my strength and pushing myself to try things that were outside of my comfort zone. My goals are now less about just getting a workout done and more about making myself a stronger, fitter, and overall healthier person.
Are you (or your friends) noticing any changes in yourself since you started taking classes?
Yes! Not only have I seen significant physical results but my attitude towards working out has completely changed. I’m much more fearless and get excited about taking on new challenges and trying new things. When I first started taking classes there were so many things that I couldn’t do and I was so sore that I could only come to class once a week. It’s awesome how much that has changed over the past year and I’m so appreciative that the instructors keep pushing me every week to get better and stronger!
What is your proudest moment so far in a class at FIT RxN?
It’s hard to pinpoint a specific moment because I consistently see improvements in my strength, endurance and technique. I love that moment in class where I realize that I was just able to do something that I had never been able to do before. It’s an awesome feeling to walk out of the gym with a sense of accomplishment.
What’s the next thing you’d like to accomplish at FIT RxN?
Without a doubt it’s getting better at boxing – especially that left jab! My first time boxing was at FIT RxN and I had no idea what I was doing…and I looked completely ridiculous! The boxing classes have been a great opportunity to learn boxing fundamentals because there’s a lot of individualized attention and emphasis on proper boxing technique. I look forward to the boxing classes every week because I get the opportunity to learn a new sport while also getting a killer workout in the process.
What is your favorite class at FIT RxN?
It’s so hard to pick because all of the classes are a great workout! Boxing is awesome because I’m always learning something new and it’s fun! I also love FIT HIIT with Jeff because it’s a non-stop, super high intensity workout that never fails to completely kick my butt!
